Reporting Master Gardener Hours

All master gardener trainees and certified master gardeners need to report their hours.
Beginning in 2010 certified master gardeners need to have 6 Education hours and 12 Volunteer hours in order to maintain certification. The on line reporting system allows you to report Education or Volunteer hours. You can sign in to record hours in the right hand column under Recording Volunteer and Education Hours. Just click on the U. of A.
If you have any questions or concerns about the new reporting system, please contact Brenda Smith (A - M) or Sue Madden (N - Z). Their contacts are listed at the bottom of the blog under
Contacts.

Sunnyside Farmers Market

Hi Master Gardeners:

Andrea and Galen Guerrette and Kira Farmer and Brooke Freeman have done a great job at the Sunnyside Farmers Market. Even though attendance is low, we would like to keep up our tabling presence at the market. The market is 2:30-6:30 on Wednesdays and runs until Sept. 12.

Kira and Brooke have come up with different activities to attract people to the table. For tomorrow, July 11, they will have our weed display where folks can guess what the weed is. We could use 1-2 more MG volunteers.

Next week we will have a 'wheel of fortune' type wheel. For participants that spin the wheel, if they answer a question, they get a prize. We could use 1-2 more MG volunteers to answer gardening questions.

Kira's last day with us is tomorrow and Brooke's is July 26. If you can help with the next two markets, or future markets, please let me know, or sign up at our CMGA meeting on Thursday. Andrea and Galen are away right now.

I don't have the Sunnyside Farmer's Market sign up sheet so if you already signed up, my apologies. Just let me know.
