The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.

Forestdale Farms Workshop/Workday

Workshop/Workday!

Farm Tour ONLY: Oct 8th, 9a-10a. Join us for a tour of our farm.  We will discuss our growing practices while we walk around the farm.  $10/person or free for Forestdale Farm CSA members. Space is limited so sign up on at https://forestdale-farm.square.site/ to secure your spot

Tour and Raised Bed Workshop/Workday: Oct 8th.  2-5p.  Free, but be prepared to work!  We will start with a tour of the farm and discuss our growing practices.  Then we will transition into a workshop/workday on the benefits of raised bed growing in Flagstaff.  We will look at different bed styles we have constructed over the years and  how we mange the beds.  We will cover initial construction, building soil, irrigation, frost, hail and snow protection, and much more!  Keep in mind this is a workday as well so we will be working on a new raised bed and filling it with material and compost from the farm. Bring a shovel if you have it, water, gloves, hat and snacks. This workshop and raised bed was made possible through Flagstaff's Foodlink's Growers Grant!
