The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.

Flagstaff's Finest Vegetable Garden Tour

Flagstaff’s Finest Vegetable Garden Tour

August 13, 2022

The Vegetable Garden Tour is sponsored by Coconino Master Gardener Association and Warner’s Nursery. It will feature eight local gardens; four residential gardens, one micro farm, one educational garden, one community garden and one public garden.

Guests will not only tour the garden, but the host gardener will be on hand to explain their gardening philosophy and answer questions.  Folks will see heirloom plants, Native American varieties, native fruit trees and plants and more.

There are creative methods of dealing with our unique growing environment like raised beds made from recycled materials, historic artifacts used for containers, water collection systems, composting, vermiculture and season extenders.

Tickets will be available at Warner’s Nursery from 9am to noon on August 13th and the gardens will be open from 10am to 4pm.  Tickets are $15 at Warner’s and can also be purchased online for $18 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/flagstaffs-finest-vegetable-garden-tour-tickets-377973076647
Maps will be provided at Warner’s or emailed to you Friday evening if you purchase online.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund garden grants in Flagstaff and surrounding areas.

Please call or email Frank Branham, President of the Master Gardener Association if you have any questions.
