Welcome to the Coconino County Master Gardeners Association

The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.

Garden Grants 2022

Attached is a link to the Garden Grants for 2022. We were able to award more than $3000 this year, because of last year's fundraising. Check out the grants for opportunities to do your volunteer hours this year. I am sure they can all use master gardener help.  The grants included 6 non-profits and 2 schools. The Extension is also paying for funds that were requested for the Grow Flagstaff seed library. That enabled us to fund an additional non-profit. Be sure to join our fundraising activities this year so we have plenty of funds to provide next year's grants.

I am planning on limiting some of my volunteer work next year so I can do a little traveling. We are looking for 2 or more people to take charge of the grants next year. It requires work only part of the year Jan.- April and then only to make sure people turn in receipts at the end of the year. Contact me if you have any questions and are interested in helping out.

Thanks,
