Welcome to the Coconino County Master Gardeners Association

The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.

Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
1601 N. San Francisco St. in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Arboretum Volunteer Opportunities

***COVID-19 Update***: We are NOW suggesting that EVERYONE, vaccinated or not, wear a mask when in our buildings. While outside and touring the grounds please choose to mask or not, based on YOUR comfort level. These changes to our policy are in direct response to CDC guidance and the fact that Coconino County is experiencing a positivity yield of 11.1% and has a HIGH level of community transmission. Please be a good neighbor and mask up inside!

If you are new to volunteering, please request a volunteer form and return to me at: Kristin.Haskins@thearb.org or you can snail mail it in to this address: The Arboretum at Flagstaff, 4001 S. Woody Mountain Rd., Flagstaff, AZ 86005. Attn: Kristin Haskins, or you can deliver it in person the first time you come out!

We ask that each of you fill out a volunteer time sheet so we can give credit where credit is due at the end of the season. Your volunteer hours are important for us to track and record for various granting agencies. Volunteer log-in books can be found in the Hort Center and at the front desk of the Visitor Center.

With appreciation,
Kris Haskins, Executive Director
