Welcome to the Coconino County Master Gardeners Association

The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.


Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
1601 N. San Francisco St. in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Intro to Permaculture

  Introduction to Permaculture

Part of the Summer Learning Series at Coconino Community College

Curious about the practice of permaculture and design thinking? Join this introductory and interactive session for a primer on permaculture, including design strategies that you can use in your home garden. Stay tuned for new permaculture courses being offered at Coconino Community College starting this fall, Thursdays 2:30-5:15.

 

Session learning objectives:

•Apply a handful of permaculture design strategies to your home garden 

•Develop language around the concepts of zones and guilds 

•Conceptually describe the permaculture ethics and principles
