Welcome to the Coconino County Master Gardeners Association

The Coconino Master Gardener Association began in 2009 to create a corps of well-informed volunteers, and to deliver quality horticultural education programs adapted to our regional high elevation environment. The association provides support for Master Gardener graduates and volunteers as well as continuing education and opportunities to participate in community programs that increase the visibility and participation in the Master Gardener Program.

Seed Saving - Gardens for Humanity

Saving Seeds – Preserving our Food Heritage

October 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Saving Seeds – Preserving the Biodiversity of our Food Heritage

Saving seeds in one’s garden is an inexpensive way to perpetuate beloved vegetables and flowers and adapt them to your particular garden environment. Join us to learn about how to save your favorite seeds and about seeds saved by the Hopi since the time of their ancestors. Native seeds and self-saved seeds are particularly well adapted to the harsh growing conditions of Arizona.
