Biennial Garden Tour in Prescott

Press Release
Alta Vista Garden Club is presenting its biennial garden tour on Saturday, June 9th from 8:00AM to 4:00 PM. Ticket holders will enjoy creative blends of perennials, annuals, native plants and vegetables located in private gardens in Prescott's varied landscapes. The self-guided tour features:

10-acres of gardening delights including edible plants with numerous "garden rooms", a variety of flowers, shrubs and an apple orchard planted in a Belgian-style fence.

A four-season garden highlighted by an arbor, fountain, sculptures and antique benches creating a European ambiance.

Woodland wildlife and sloping terrain create ongoing challenges for our gardener who has fashioned a successful blend of perennials, annuals, vegetables and a water feature.

An English grandfather and Butchart Gardens have inspired this lovely fusion of flowers, shrubs, and ivy among Ponderosa pines and granite boulders.
A surprise opening in the woods reveals a multi-tiered Koi pond, artistic vegetable garden, and a native plant hillside.

Just beyond a picket fence ticketholders will find native bloomers, a gazebo and a
children's secret garden.

Advance tickets for a $10 donation are available at Bella Home Furnishings, Jay's Bird Barn, Mortimer Nursery & Landscaping, Prescott Valley Nursery and Watter's Design & Garden Center. Tickets are also available by contacting Cathy @ 928-541-9341 or HYPERLINK "mailto:caasam@cableone.net" caasam@cableone.net. On the day of the tour the program with maps of the six garden locations will be available between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the Sharlot Hall Museum gazebo, 415 W. Gurley, Prescott.
