Tree Care for Birds and Wildlife - Oct. 18

Join the AZ Dept of Forestry and Fire Management and the Arizona Community Tree Council for a hands-on workshop designed for arborists, landscapers, environmental professionals, and nature lovers!  
This workshop will help you understand how tree care intersects with wildlife protection, especially birds, and how to minimize negative impacts during arboricultural work. You will earn 4 ISA CEUs & lunch will be provided! Certified arborists that complete this course are able to be listed as Wildlife Trained Arborists.

When: Saturday, October 18, 2025 | 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Where: Camp Verde Public Library, Camp Verde, AZ

  • Introduction to wildlife’s role in habitats, breeding seasons, and how they overlap with tree work
  • Regulations and laws protecting birds and other wildlife in Arizona
  • How to conduct pre‑work inspections & pruning for wildlife
  • Outdoor hands-on session: inspecting trees, applying best practices
  • Q&A with wildlife biologists, real encounters from Liberty Wildlife
