Earth Day Celebration

Date: April 19, 2025 Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Location: Bushmaster Park (3150 N. Alta Vista Dr.) Dear Flagstaff community, Join us as we celebrate Earth Day this Saturday… rain or shine!This celebration is dedicated to bringing together the community and local organizations to discover ways we can get involved with protecting, conserving, and learning about our shared home.

Event Highlights Sustainable Exhibitions and Activities: Explore, learn, and enjoy activities for all ages from over 50 local organizations, groups, and causes! Free Workshops: Attend one of three workshops to learn practical tips for sustainable living: Garden Upcycling, Rainwater Harvesting, and Home Energy Efficiency and Electrification. Live Performances and Music: Enjoy musical performances by local performers: Side Project, Aaron White, and Cameron Jameson! Community Bike Ride: Bust out your wheels and join us to move another way! Meet us at the Flagstaff Visitor's Center at 10 am and ride to the Earth Day Celebration as a community. Move Another Way to the event by taking a FREE Mountain Line bus ride, walking, rolling, or using our free, safe, and secure bike valet! Pre-Celebration Litter Clean-Up

Sign up on Volunteer Flagstaff Want to give back this Earth Day and help keep Flagstaff beautiful?Kick off the day with a litter clean-up before the official celebration begins. When: Saturday, April 19, 8:45 am - 10:00 am Where: Bushmaster Park (3150 N Alta Vista Dr) If you are driving to the event, please park in the west parking lot on Alta Vista Dr!

Sustainable Exhibitions & Activities

Connect with nearly 50 community organizations and groups to learn and engage in sustainability. Vendors will have activities for attendees of all ages, such as making seed bombs and pine cone houses, painting, game boards, demonstrations, freebies, and so much more!

Move Another Way

Leave the hassle of finding a parking spot behind and pedal, bus, walk, or roll your way to the Earth Day Celebration! Mountain Line bus rides are FREE all day Saturday for all routes. Plan your bus trip here! Biking? Valet your bike with our friendly staff, who will securely park it until you're ready to leave!

Community Bike Ride

Celebrate Earth Day with us on two wheels! Join the first annual Earth Day Community Bike Ride, open to all ages and abilities. Ride alongside City and MetroPlan staff as we pedal from Downtown Flagstaff to Bushmaster Park—just in time for the Earth Day festivities! Where: Flagstaff Visitor Center (1 E Route 66) When: 10:00 AM Who: All Ages and Abilities!

Workshop Schedule ASL Interpreting Present at All Workshops!

11:15 AM: Garden Upcycling ‘Bee’ an Upcycler: Join Sharon’s Attic and the City of Flagstaff Community Garden program to create your own pollinator watering station and planter using provided upcycled household items and pollinator plant seeds!

12:00 PM - Rainwater Harvesting Join City of Flagstaff Water Services to learn how to collect rainwater, conserve water, and maintain a lovely landscape or garden. Enter to win a free rain barrel!

1:15 PM - Home Energy Efficiency and Electrification Learn everyday tips and tricks to conserve energy and hear from residents who have taken the journey to electrify their home heating and appliances. The first 5 households will receive a free DIY Energy Efficiency Kit!
