Unbeknownst
to most, Grand Canyon supports a wide array of hawks, owls, vultures,
and other raptors. In this lecture, Dr. Larry Stevens, MNA’s curator of
biology, will describe how the Canyon’s complex terrain affects the
distribution, migration, and feeding of its many predatory bird species.
In addition, Dr. Stevens will describe how environmental changes, such
as the construction of Glen Canyon Dam upstream from Grand Canyon has
affected raptor populations.
