 April is AZ Water Awareness Month
April is Arizona’s Water Awareness Month!  The City of Flagstaff Water Conservation Program is organizing free events throughout the entire month of April to engage, educate, and inspire community members to be more water conscious. Find a list of programs and activities on the City's website.
And, take the Mayoral's Pledge and help get Flagstaff on the map for water conservation!
Special: Earth Day Recycling Center Tour
Join us for an Earth Day recycling center tour on Friday, April 19th at 1pm. Tour is on a first come first serve basis with limited spots. Groups with over 10 participants must schedule a private tour (contact cassandra@willowbendcenter.org or call 928-779 1745).

Meet at the Materials Recovery Facility (1800 E. Butler Ave). Learn what can and what can't be recycled in Flagstaff and follow materials from the tipping floor, through the conveyor belt and into the baler. Tour is free and open to the public. More information on our website.
City of Flagstaff Earth Day Celebration  
Join the City of Flagstaff, Willow Bend, and hundreds of other organizations for the City's Earth Day Celebration! Live music, hands on activities, workshops, presentations and more. Saturday, April 20th from 10am-2pm at Bushmaster's Park. More information on the City's website
Spring Volunteer Kick Off and Arbor Day Celebration!  
Roll up your sleeves and join the Friends of the Willow Bend Gardens for a garden volunteer kick off on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27th from 8:30am-1pm both days. Help prepare the garden for the season, learn valuable skills, earn volunteer hours, meet new people, celebrate Arbor Day! Come anytime, stay for as long as you want. May Science Saturday: Wildfire Community Preparedness Day
Bring the family and come learn how YOU can be prepared for the upcoming wildlife season. Our May Science Saturday, held on May 4th from 9am-1pm, will focus on Fire and Forests. The event is held in partnership with the National Fire Protection Association, Rocky Mountain Research Station, and the Kaibab National Forest. May Adult Workshop: DIY Kombucha 
Ecologist Mike Dechter is back to teach you how to brew kombucha on Saturday, May 11th from 10am-12pm. Participants will get to take home their very own kombucha starter kit. There will also be a tasting of various kombucha flavors to inspire your own brews. Limited spots! This workshop fills up fast. Register online today! Or call (928) 779-1745
