Volunteer to Sow Seeds for the CSA

Good afternoon,
Every year, volunteers donate several hundred hours to the garden starts csa project. We start sowing next Saturday! If you are looking for a way to volunteer your time, earn Master Gardener hours, or would simply like to learn more about growing seedlings, tor would just like to pass the time on a Saturday morning with fun folks, this is a great opportunity.

Our operation is on the south campus of the NAU greenhouse complex, and we always meet from 9am-12pm on Saturdays. If you think you might be interested in sowing, or other tasks connected to the garden starts this season (there are lots!), send me an email or call! I can give you all of the details.
In other news regarding volunteering, there will be an event tomorrow night where you can learn about other volunteer gardening projects around town. Terra BIRDS (me), the Arboretum at Flagstaff, Ag Extension office, and the NAU Students for Sustainable Living and Urban Agriculture Garden (SLUGG) will be there to talk about various volunteer projects related to gardening.

This event will be held at the SSLUG Garden on the Southside of building #70 (at NAU). If the weather is bad, the event will be inside in room #6.
Free parking is available in Lot #62 https://nau.edu/Parking-Shuttle-Services/Forms/FY16-Campus-Map/
For questions or more information about this event, please call: 928-523-5039 or email Michele Lytle Michele.Lytle@nau.edu

Many thanks!
Cheers,
Regan
