Janice Montgomery and her co-chair Kathie
Knapp found a receptive librarian and broad support for the concept in
Cottonwood. The new seed library, called the
"Verde Valley
Seed Library" will open its doors at the Cottonwood Public Library
on
September 12, and will serve
communities in the Verde Valley.
In preparation and as part of this new
addition to the library, classes in seed saving will be held on a regular basis
starting on
August 15,
10:30am-12:30pm.

- Regular hours of operation will be every Saturday from 11am to 1pm and
free seeds will be available to be checked out.
